Chrystie Barker, MA is a travel and hospitality executive with more than 20 years of industry experience. She is an active member of the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) and is currently completing her GLP designation through GBTA, a globally recognized industry credential. Chrystie earned her Global Leadership certificate through eCornell and GBTA, completing coursework in leadership, travel management, finance, marketing, and artificial intelligence. She is currently working on an AI-focused capstone project, “AI as Your Partnership Co-Pilot: Unlocking Buyer–Supplier ROI,” which will be presented at the 2026 GBTA Annual Conference, to be held this year in Chicago. In addition, Chrystie participates in monthly AI roundtables through the Niagara County Chamber of Commerce, collaborating with business leaders across industries on practical, responsible AI adoption.

AI is already reshaping how we plan, book, and experience travel—from hotels and airlines to safety and personalization. In this interactive discussion, Chrystie Barker, a hotel and travel executive overseeing AI-related initiatives, will explore how artificial intelligence is being used today, what it means for traveler safety and data privacy, and how professional women can better understand both the opportunities and risks. This session is designed to be practical, approachable, and conversational—no technical background required.
