Gardening for Pollinators
August 18, 2022*
David O’Donnell, a self-taught naturalist, has been promoting native plantings for monarch butterflies and beneficial pollinators for over 20 years. Growing up in Clarence, NY, David has been keenly aware of the changing environment and disappearing flora and fauna in WNY. He will discuss the latest monarch butterfly statistics and native plants for attracting monarchs and other beneficial pollinators. He will also show how installing pollinator habitat can be rewarding and can collectively empower people in making a positive impact to the environment and ecology of our area. With a bit of patience, knowledge, and annual maintenance, a lovely pollinator garden can be achieved. Look at your lawn and garden areas through the eyes of a pollinator and make adding native plants a rewarding project for your property.
