Amherst Chamber Celebrates Grand ReBranding of Storybook Academy of Amherst

Amherst Chamber of Commerce President & CEO, A.J. Baynes, joins Chamber member Storybook Academy along with the community at 3:00pm on Tuesday, July 1st at Storybook Academy, 903 Hopkins Rd., Amherst, NY 14221. Storybook Academy of Amherst, along with Brierwood Childcare Center in Hamburg, was acquired by First Learning on January 1, 2025.
"At all First Learning centers, our mission is to provide a caring and stimulating learning environment that meets the highest standards while creating growth opportunities for our staff and positively contributing to the communities we serve,” said David Kolczynski, Owner & CEO. “We know that parents are entrusting us with their most prized possessions, and we take that responsibility very seriously.”
Drawing on several years of experience successfully integrating childcare centers, First Learning is committed to making this transition as seamless as possible. Families can expect continuity of care from the trusted staff they already know, complemented by investments in the centers aimed at enhancing the overall experience for children, parents, and employees. 
“For the past few months, we have been working to ensure that the wonderful staff at the center are comfortable with the transition so that they can continue to provide the excellent care their families have come to expect,” said Michelle Ellis, Executive Director of Operations.
